Ge (pronounced ‘GEE’) is a creative Industrial Designer with a Chinese background. Having expertise in product design and interaction design with a great interest in environment-friendly and innovative user experience. Eagerly hoping her products will bring more convenience, and humanity to end users. Moreover, hoping to make a strong contribution to society. Having various handicraft and textile skills broadens her imagination, and products' material, form, and structure. Ge has proven success in making contributions to teams, helping achieve project goals and a high degree of client satisfaction.

SWAVE STUDIOS INTERNSHIP | PRODUCT DESIGNER

Tan Spray Product & Game Board Design | Feb 2020 - Apr 2020

Within a team, designed the appearance and functions of the tan spray machine. The design aims to help beauty practitioners to reduce the overall weight of the machine and improve the convenience of operation, portability and aesthetics. 

Mainly responsible for the design and modeling of game board for West Africa's Oware, and participated in the program discussion with designers and clients. The design of the game board improved portability and brought a modern, convenient and simple gaming experience to the ancient game.


SAFEHAVEN COLLABORATED | INTERACTION DESIGNER

Design for Health | Sept 2019 - Dec 2019

Within a team, researched, interviewed, users to create a system for people with disabilities to enhance their personal value and sense of belonging in a new community; also designed a system to educate people about the proper way to communicate with non-verbal disabled people.

Worked with real Safehaven staff and clients.

This project is chosen to join in the OCAD exhibit for Design TO 2020.


BLOOR-ANNEX BIA COLLABORATED | PRODUCT DESIGNER

Bike Rack Design | Sept 2018 - Nov 2018

Individual project to research and design a single piece bike rack for BIA's Bloor-Annex district; designed to improve the bike's safety problem, making the racks more convenient, suitable for the district's style, and able to be mass produced.

Worked with BIA's architects and manager.
